A man in his 70s, who was cycling, has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a car in Finspång.
The man's condition is reported to be critical but stable, according to the police.
The accident occurred on Monday evening. Exactly what happened is still unclear and no one is suspected of a crime at present.
Both the bicycle and the car will undergo a technical examination.
