The ten-time World Champion was reported in 2022 by her national team colleague Justine Braisaz-Bouchet for having used her credit card and made purchases for tens of thousands of kronor.
According to La Dauphine, the French investigators have also identified two additional victims.
The newspaper writes that the prosecution in Albertville now has the investigation completed and Julia Simon will be held accountable in court on October 24. She is accused of theft and fraud.
In June 2024, the Italian newspaper La Stampa stated that Julia Simon was fined and ordered to pay damages, a news item that was reported around the world but which Simon's lawyer went out and denied.
Julia Simon has consistently claimed her innocence in the affair and explained that she had her identity stolen.
