Influencer and entrepreneur Bianca Ingrosso's cosmetics company Caia Cosmetics has been reported to the police for toxic makeup. The report comes from the Chemicals Agency, writes DI.
The suspected offence concerns an illegal substance found in the German-manufactured product "Caia Duo Eye Pencil". The pencil contains a banned PFAS substance, writes news agency Siren. The substance is extremely difficult to break down and can have harmful effects on humans and the environment, writes the Chemicals Agency in its report to the police.
"These substance groups can have serious and irreversible negative effects on both the environment and human health," it states in the report.
The product has been removed from the range and the company's website since April.
Bianca Ingrosso co-founded the cosmetics and beauty brand Caia Cosmetics in 2018. Two years later, the Swedish venture capital firm Verdane stepped in as the new majority owner of the company.
