The megastar Beyoncé will personally give her support to the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Friday, when Harris holds an election rally in Beyoncé's hometown Houston in Texas.
Several sources report this to both the news agency AP and ABC News.
The campaign meeting has abortion rights and women's right to fertility care as its theme, and according to the sources, several women who have been affected by Texas' strict abortion laws will also participate on stage.
Beyoncé was rumored to appear at the Democratic Party convention in August, but never showed up. Harris has Beyoncé's "Freedom" as her campaign song, a choice that Beyoncé has explicitly supported.
Previously, among others, Bruce Springsteen and Eminem have participated in campaign meetings for Harris.
