US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says his meeting with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng was "very successful" after the two discussed trade and AI.

According to Bessent, more extensive discussions about AI threats were held.

The meeting was held ahead of US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping's meeting in Washington on Thursday.
