The actress Rebecca Plymholt, the artist Adèle Essle Zeiss, the designer Hanne Klein, the designer Asli Abdulrahman Ali and the opera singer Karolina Bengtsson receive this year's scholarship from Marianne and Sigvard Bernadotte's Artist Fund.
The fund was established by the two spouses in 1982 and the scholarship is awarded to "young, bold artists" with many active years ahead of them.
Earlier this year, Marianne Bernadotte passed away just a month before her 101st birthday. To pay tribute to her memory, the board has increased the scholarship amount to 101,000 kronor.
