Oscar Bergendahl will miss the Handball World Championship in January. His German club Magdeburg reports on its website, according to SVT.
The national team's midfielder injured his foot earlier in the week, in the German league match against Gummersbach. Bergendahl was carried out on a stretcher and now it is confirmed that he will be out for around three months.
A very tough message for both Bergendahl and the national team, which will have to manage without a very important player.
