Belarus Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov was absent when Trump's so-called peace council held its first meeting in Washington, DC, on Thursday.
"Despite having completed all necessary procedures on our part, no visas were issued to our delegation," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, which continued:
"This situation naturally raises the question: what kind of peace and what kind of coherence can we talk about when even the basic formalities for our participation were not fulfilled by the organizers?"
Belarus, a close ally of Russia, was one of the 20 or so countries that accepted Trump's invitation.
