Over 6,000 households in Järfälla north of Stockholm were affected by a power outage during the night against Monday.
The cause was a beaver that gnawed on a tree near a power line, reports P4 Stockholm.
The tree was later felled by the wind, which made it fall on our power line and caused the power outage, says Lena Berglund, regional manager for Stockholm at Eon, to the radio.
That animals are behind power problems is not uncommon, according to Berglund.
Especially, it is many birds that with their wingspans reach the lines or build nests. But I have experienced most animals that in different ways affect, everything from cats to cows and rodents, she says.
