Elena Rybakina won the WTA final against world number one Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets. The victory means that Rybakina will collect 50 million kronor.

Rybakina won the WTA Finals, played in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 6–3, 7–6 (7–0). It is the 26-year-old's biggest title since her Wimbledon victory in 2022.

The winning prize pool was a record-high $5.235 million, which corresponds to around 50 million kronor.

Rybakina, from Kazakhstan, becomes the first singles player from an Asian country to lift the WTA Finals trophy with the win. The title also means that Rybakina ends the tennis year ranked fifth in the world instead of sixth.

Despite the final loss, Sabalenka has this season broken the record for the most prize money collected during a WTA season with her $15 million, over 140 million kronor.
