No explanation has been given as to why the four shows in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and South Carolina have been canceled. The tour is scheduled to continue on October 9 in Bloomington.
Singer Mike Love, 85, is now the only one touring under the Beach Boys name. He has been in conflict for many years with Al Jardine, 84, the other original member still alive. Jardine instead tours under his own name.
Beach Boys musical mainstay Brian Wilson, who died last year, was rarely on tour.
