Previously, the BBC had limited its use of YouTube - part of the American tech giant Alphabet - to posting trailers and short clips to promote its programs on other platforms.
The BBC programs made for YouTube will also be posted on the BBC's own platforms iPlayer and Sounds after they are published on the streaming service, according to the newspaper's sources.
The BBC, which is financed by licence fees, can, under the agreement, collect advertising revenue from broadcasts outside the UK.
