Many French people have been concerned and have protested against the loan because the tapestry is so fragile, and a petition with around 70,000 names has been signed.
But France's Culture Minister Catherine Pégard, who has been to the British Museum and seen the priceless tapestry with her own eyes, is reassuring her compatriots. According to the culture minister, it is in fantastic condition.
"We can say that all the necessary precautions have been taken ... I think that will convince all the sceptics," Catherine Pégard told the BBC.
