Bayern Munich started the league season in the best possible way.
The reigning German champions took the lead after 20 minutes when Dayot Upamecano headed in a corner.
Stuttgart equalised early in the second half, but just a few minutes later the home side regained the lead when Michael Olise scored his first goal of the season. Shortly afterwards, it was also 3-1 after an own goal by Stuttgart.
22-year-old Aleksandar Pavlovic made it 4-1 with ten minutes left to play and in stoppage time Luis Díaz made it 5-1.
Star striker Harry Kane was substituted in the 84th minute without scoring.
