Indebted former real estate king Ilija Batljan asked his lenders to write off 80 per cent of the debt in his own company Ilija Batljan.

But it was rejected. Now he is withdrawing the proposal, according to a statement from the company.

The company continues the discussions with the lenders to reach an agreement.

Ilija Batljan is still the main owner of the real estate company SBB, which is struggling for its survival in the form of constant measures to reduce the debts.
