The title was the Spanish giants' fourth in the Women's Champions League in the last six seasons. Saturday's final victory was revenge for Barcelona, who lost last year's final to Arsenal when Swedish national team star Stina Blackstenius scored the winner in Lisbon.

At Ullevål, the score was goalless at half-time. Then Barça stepped up and scored four goals in 40 minutes. Pajor scored to make it 1–0 and then 2–0 at the start of the second half, and Paralluelo made it 3–0 and 4–0 at the end.

No Swedes played in this year's final; however, Tess Olofsson was the main referee, with Almira Spahic as an assistant. Last summer, Fridolina Rolfö left Barcelona.

In a week, the men's Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal will be decided in Budapest.
