Barcelona returned to Camp Nou – won big

For the first time in two and a half years, Barcelona returned to Camp Nou. They also took the opportunity to beat Athletic Bilbao 4–0.

Barcelona's home stadium Camp Nou has been newly renovated and could host a La Liga match for the first time since May 2023. However, with a reduced capacity of 45,401 seats as some renovations are still underway.

The opposition was Athletic Bilbao, who didn't have much to offer. The Catalans won with a clear 4–0.

The team's star player Lamine Yamal, 18, made a comeback from injury. He celebrated by playing in two of the home team's goals.

Swedish super talent Roony Bardghji remained on the bench for the entire match for Barcelona.

When Camp Nou is fully completed, the stadium will hold 105,000 spectators.
