On Instagram, the former US president shares his best song tips in a summer playlist where he has selected the songs that he and his wife Michelle say they have listened to the most.
The list begins with a song by the recently deceased Irish musician Glen Hansard.
"A fantastic musician who tragically passed away this week. Our thoughts go out to his family," Obama wrote.
