Barça had 6–2 after the first meeting – and went for an early knockout in the return leg. A tactical move that paid off. Alexia Putellas scored the first goal after just eight minutes and when Caroline Graham Hansen, Irene Paredes and Ewa Pajor also scored, the quarter-final was decided after the first half.
In the second there were further goals. Graham Hansen scored her second and Esmee Brugts made it 6–0.
Filippa Angeldahl, Hanna Bennison and Bella Andersson, Real Madrid's Swedish players, have thus been eliminated from the tournament.
For Barcelona, German side Bayern Munich await in the semi-finals.
