At least 40 people, most of them teenagers, died in the fire at the popular Le Constellation bar in the Crans-Montana ski resort on New Year's Eve, and more than 100 were injured.
One of the bar's two owners, a Frenchman, was arrested on Friday. In an interview with several media outlets, he said he discovered the back door locked when he entered the premises after the fire.
When he broke open the door, which was allegedly locked from the inside, he found several people lying dead there.
The two owners are suspected, among other things, of causing the death of another person.
