798 limited liability companies went bankrupt in September, two percent more than the same month last year. 1,877 employees were affected, according to the credit reporting agency.
"What stands out is that an unusually large number of large companies have gone bankrupt, while we also have to go back to 1994 to find a September with more bankruptcies," says Credit Safe CEO Henrik Jacobsson in a press release.
So far this year, however, fewer limited companies have collapsed, 6,910 compared with 7,338 in the same period last year, according to Credit Safe.
"A single month with a smaller increase therefore does not change the overall picture, but shows that the recovery is still fragile," says Amanda Aldestam, analyst at industry colleague UC.
