Ramisa is one of thousands of children who have fallen ill in the measles outbreak sweeping Bangladesh. Since March, more than 187,000 suspected cases among children have been registered, and on Wednesday the death toll had passed 1,000.
Measles is extremely contagious and can have life-threatening consequences in young children.
The disease was previously largely under control in Bangladesh, but in recent years vaccination coverage has declined for various reasons. Young patients with severe complications, including encephalitis, are flocking to Shishu Hospital in Dhaka.
"We are completely exhausted," pediatrician Atiqul Islam told AFP.
