There was a deafening cheer when Bad Bunny finally took the stage in front of around 50,000 screaming fans at the Strawberry Arena in Solna, north of Stockholm. Wearing his signature off-white suit, he opened with the hit “La Mudanza” to the delight of the audience.

And even though both the music and the interludes were in Spanish, the audience joined in from the start with singing and dancing.

Dancing queen

With him on stage was an orchestra in red and white and a guitarist who, without warning, paid tribute to Sweden when he began playing the ABBA hit "Dancing Queen" while the cheering audience sang along.

Then it was time for some of the artist's most famous songs, including "Nuevayol" and "Baile inolvidable". The audience, which came not only from Sweden, was in a great mood. More or less everyone got up and danced.

One of those who travelled a long way was Rodrigo Garces, 28, from Spain. For him, the concert clashed with Spain's World Cup quarter-final against Belgium. Still, the choice was easy.

The concert is a must, but we might see parts of the match between the songs, he laughs.

During the evening, flags from all over the world were waved. According to SVT, Bad Bunny said during a conversation that he was happy to bring his culture from Puerto Rico to Sweden.

“The Cottage”

A bit into the concert, it was time for one of the highlights when “La Casita” was lit up. The recurring feature consists of a small pink traditional Puerto Rican house, where the artist selects both fans and celebrities to party with the star.

From the little pink house, Bad Bunny performed the hit "Tití me pregunto", which made the Strawberry Arena vibrate and the lucky ones in "La Casita" twerked with joy.

And it became both heartfelt and personal when, without music, he took a long walk around the house to greet the fans at the fence. He also exchanged a few words with some of them.

The surprise of the evening, at every concert Bad Bunny offers an exclusive performance, was the song "Mr October".

And tonight's concert was just the beginning - on Saturday Bad Bunny will end his visit to Sweden with another concert before the tour continues in Poland.
