Now Johannes Thingnes Bø is the greatest biathlete of all time in World Championship contexts. He won the sprint in Lenzerheide, which gave him a 21st World Championship gold, one more than the legend Ole Einar Bjørndalen. It means a lot, says the Norwegian.

When Johannes Thingnes Bø arrived at Norwegian TV2's interview position, he was heartily congratulated by Bjørndalen, who is now a TV commentator. And to SVT, the newly crowned World Championship gold medalist says it's great to now be the very best.

It means a lot. I set a record and make an impact. It's a motivation. I've always liked records and been motivated by them. And being the greatest in World Championship contexts, it's clear that it's great, says Bø.

His older brother Tarjei is not surprised that Bjørndalen's record has now been beaten.

I was sure he would take it during the World Championship, he has looked very good in training, like the old good Johannes, says Tarjei Bø.

Teammate Sturla Holm Lægreid also says it was expected with a record.

But it's impressive. He has really topped his form in his last World Championship.

Both the Bø brothers told in January that they will retire after the season.
