The pesticide was detected in Eldorado raisins (seedless, sun-dried), 250 g, with a best before date of 08/31/2026. As a precautionary measure, all products are being recalled regardless of best before date.
The product has been sold in several of Axfood's stores and has been removed from sale. "Axfood takes the incident seriously and is now investigating how it could have happened to ensure that it does not happen again," the supplier writes in a press release.
No injuries have been reported. Customers are advised to return the item to the store for a refund.
Corrected: More raisins than were mentioned in a previous version are being recalled.
