During the winter season, she improved the Swedish indoor record on two occasions: first to 19.72 meters in Lincoln, and then, at the World Indoor Championships in Poland, to 19.75 meters.
Now she has also taken over the Swedish outdoor record. Fanny Roos threw 19.66 meters in China last year in early May. Axelina Johansson surpassed that by one centimeter in the fifth round in Nebraska.
But there was even more from Axelina Johansson that day. In the final push she threw 19.97 meters and now the dream limit of 20 meters is really close.
"The final push for the team here in Nebraska was an incredible adrenaline boost," she says in a press release.
