The Swedish shot putter won with a throw of 19.92 meters. That's just five centimeters short of Johansson's Swedish record, set in a competition in mid-May. The result was a new record for the college championships, which were held in Eugene, Oregon.
Axelina Johansson showed great form already during the indoor season, when she won bronze at the World Indoor Championships with a new Swedish indoor record of 19.75 meters.
