The decision applies to both league and cup games during the season.
It was in March, in a cup quarter-final, that supporters of both teams stormed the pitch after the match was decided in a dramatic penalty shootout. A total of 43 people were arrested.
Some time ago, the Scottish Football League punished the clubs by forcing them to play their next home match in the Scottish Cup behind empty stands.
The teams' first meeting of the season is in the Scottish League Cup on September 13.
