Three members of the American gospel group The Nelons have died in a plane crash where all seven on board lost their lives.
Kelly Nelon Clark, Jason Clark, and their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler died when the plane they were traveling in crashed in the state of Wyoming on Friday. This was announced by another of the couple's daughters and the fourth member of the group, Autumn Nelon Streetman.
"We are grateful for your continued prayers, your love, and your support as we navigate the coming days", she says in a statement.
According to the authorities, a faulty autopilot is believed to be behind the crash.
The group, which has had a long line of members since it was formed in Georgia by Rex Nelon in 1977, has been nominated for a Grammy and has won several awards at the gospel gala Dove Awards. In 2016, the group was inducted into the Gospel Hall of Fame.
