The documentary “Avicii: True Stories” received a lot of attention and drew criticism from Tim Bergling’s former manager, Arash “Ash” Pournouri. In the summer of 2025, Pournouri sued director Levan Tsikurishvili for gross defamation over how he was portrayed in the documentary.
But in June, the filmmaker was acquitted in Stockholm District Court. Now Pournouri has appealed the verdict, citing the documentary as evidence, something that was not done the first time, and also referring to an Instagram post that was allegedly “intended to expose him to the contempt of others.”
