Last year, the total number of passengers at Arlanda increased by almost 7 percent compared with the previous year, while Landvetter noted an increase of just under 2 percent.
Eight new airlines and 37 new scheduled flight routes, the majority at Arlanda, were established during the year.
"It is gratifying that many of both our existing and new airline customers are choosing to continue investing in the Swedish market," says Jonas Abrahamsson, Swedavia's president and CEO, in a press release.
At Arlanda, international travel increased by just over 3 percent, while domestic traffic increased by nearly 29 percent compared with 2024. This is partly because the airline BRA moved its domestic traffic from Bromma Airport to Arlanda on January 1, 2025.
In December, just over 2.5 million passengers traveled via Swedavia's ten airports, which is an increase of eight percent compared with December 2024.
