SOS has alerted about an avalanche at Småhamrarna, near Tänndalen in Härjedalen municipality, local media reports. The avalanche is approximately one hundred meters wide.
The mountain rescue team was initially alerted, but the rescue operation was shortly discontinued.
We are discontinuing the rescue operation since a collective assessment indicates that there is no evidence to suggest that anyone has been swept away, says Elisabeth Glaas, press spokesperson for the police.
