The average price during the period September–November is estimated to land at just under 50 öre per kilowatt hour compared to 30 öre in the autumn of 2024.
The explanation according to Bixia is lower availability in nuclear power and too little water in the water reservoirs.
"The autumn's electricity prices are stable, but clearly higher than last year. It is above all the uncertainty surrounding nuclear power that affects where Oskarshamn 3 has been out of operation longer than planned. At the same time, the hydrological balance has not recovered after the summer's deficit, despite the wet start to the autumn", says Johan Sigvardsson, electricity price analyst at Bixia in a press release.
However, it is still far from the high prices, under the 2022 autumn average, which was over 1.15 kronor per kilowatt hour with periods of up to 4 kronor.
