Among the fatalities are also several employees of a charity organization whose vehicle was attacked by a drone while a shootout was taking place in the area, according to spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal.
Several people are being treated at the hospital with serious injuries.
The Israeli army IDF announces that it attacked "two terrorists ... who were operating a drone that posed a threat to IDF forces in Beit Lahia".
"Later, a number of additional terrorists gathered the equipment from the drone operation and got into a vehicle. IDF attacked the terrorists", the statement continues.
Media outlets affiliated with the terrorist-designated Hamas report that local photojournalists were killed when they used a drone to photograph the Ramadan celebrations in Gaza.
Hamas calls it an "obvious violation" of the ceasefire.
