Magnusson became known to a wide audience in 2017 when "Döstädning" was published; in it she wrote about the art of organizing, cleaning, and throwing away excess belongings to make it easier for relatives on the day you pass away.
It became an international bestseller and was published in 32 countries. In addition, "dead-cleaning" became an accepted concept.
She was always cleaning up after herself. If you went to her house, you always got something to take home. You had to be careful not to say "What a nice pillow" because then she would want you to have it, said her daughter and journalist Jane Magnusson to SVT.
