Australia is sending one of its most advanced military surveillance planes to the Middle East, following a request from the United Arab Emirates.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said at a press conference that the plane would help "protect and defend Australians and other civilians."
Australia will also provide the United Arab Emirates with anti-missile protection, Albanese said.
