"Despite the sometimes challenging weather, the clubs and supporters show that nothing can stop the love for the Allsvenskan," says Henrik Berggren, general secretary of Swedish Elite Football, in a press release.
Hammarby–Mjällby - which was played under cover - and Degerfors–Sirius were the first matches of the season, and the first round concluded with Gais–Djurgården. AIK–Halmstad attracted the most spectators; a whopping 39,085 made their way to the Strawberry Arena in Solna.
The eight matches over the Easter weekend attracted approximately 25,000 more spectators than last year. The previous record, 124,637, was from 2024.
Correction: In a previous version, Hammarby's opponent was stated incorrectly.
