Operating profit in the second quarter rose to SEK 470 million, up from SEK 349 million in the same quarter last year. Profitability, or profit relative to revenue, rose to 9.9 percent, compared with 7.5 percent last year.

Increased occupancy and better efficiency explain the increase in profits, according to the company's management.

"At the same time, Attendo has increased its investment pace in response to increasing demand in elderly care," the company writes in the quarterly report.
