Police were called to the prison during the day. Four male suspects, all previously inmates at the prison, have since been arrested following a decision by prosecutors.
The case is classified as attempted murder.
Police have no current information about the condition of the person who was taken to hospital, police spokesperson Marie Andersson told TT.
