A woman who works at an LSS residence in Helsingborg was strangled and rendered unconscious at her workplace late Sunday evening.
"We received an alarm that a resident had attacked a 25-year-old female staff member by strangling her," says Kaveh van der Knaap Keivan, internal affairs officer at the Helsingborg police, to Sydsvenskan.
A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene and has been held overnight. The man is suspected of strangling the woman, who was not breathing when police arrived. Life-saving efforts were initiated immediately. The woman regained consciousness and was taken to hospital.
