The police received an alarm about a serious violent crime with a sharp object in central Bengtsfors at 1 pm on Wednesday.
Two students got into a fight for unknown reasons. When the staff intervene, they see that one of them is bleeding and call the police and ambulance, says police press spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg.
One of the students was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter, but the condition is reported to be stable.
And the other student has been arrested, suspected of attempted murder, says Fuxborg.
The area was cordoned off and the rest of the students at the school were initially confined – but it was later lifted.
”Students and staff are no longer confined and most students have left the school for the day”, the municipality writes on its website and adds that the student health care will be on site on Thursday to provide support to the students who need it.
The police have seized a ”sharp object” but do not want to give any further details. According to Bengtsfors municipality, it is a knife.
”A student was injured in connection with a knife stab from another student”, the municipality writes on its website.
The police still have no idea about the motive behind the incident.
