Several Iranian missiles and drones have been fired at the United Arab Emirates, according to the country's Defense Ministry.

A massive fire has broken out at a fuel plant in the emirate of Fujairah after an Iranian drone attack, local authorities said. At least three people, all Indian nationals, were injured.

The attacks are ongoing, and residents are being urged to seek shelter, the country's emergency authority announced in a post on Monday evening.

"The attacks constitute a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable violation," the country's Foreign Ministry wrote in a statement, emphasizing that it reserves the right to respond.

The attacks have targeted civilian sites and facilities in the country, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Three cruise missiles were shot down, the Defense Ministry said in an early statement. A fourth missile fell into the sea, according to the ministry.

This is the first time the country has been subjected to Iranian attacks since the ceasefire between the US and Iran began in early April.
