Atlético Madrid's Norwegian striker Alexander Sørloth became the big match hero in front of the home crowd with a hat-trick. The 30-year-old first gave the team the lead midway through the first half, and then scored two goals in the space of eleven minutes at the end of the second.
In the round of 16, which begins in two weeks, Atlético Madrid will face English opposition, either Liverpool or Tottenham. This will be decided in Friday's draw.
