The European Athletics Federation (EA) will distribute a total of 3.5 million euros (nearly 40 million SEK), a new record.
The winner will receive 30,000 euros, second place 15,000 and third place 10,000.
The top eight in each category will be rewarded.
The European Championship will be held in Chorzow, Poland, in June 2028.
