The bookmakers are predicting Greczula will come first in the first round, closely followed by A-Teens. The same result emerged in the Melodifestivalsklubben audience survey on Friday evening, where just over 43 percent had Greczula as their favorite and 17 percent A-Teens.
Greczula came third in last year's edition and feels the pressure, but says he tries not to let himself be influenced by expectations.
I only think about going on stage and enjoying the experience. If I'm happy when I walk off stage, then I've won, that's how I see it.
I haven't thought much about it. I'll have to come back to that.
“We hope”
Five of the artists in tonight's starting line-up are debutants in the Melodifestival context. However, A-Teens were part of the opening act two years ago, which sparked a reunion that gave a taste of what was to come.
Whether their favorite status pays off, however, remains to be seen.
"In this competition, it's impossible to predict, it can always go either way. But of course we hope," says Marie Serneholt.
Both she and Sara Lumholdt have competed as solo artists before, but for Amit Paul and Dhani Lennevald it is the first time.
I was fascinated, because even though you know it's not real during the rehearsal, I still got a pulse when they were going to choose a pretend winner, says Amit Paul.
Hair stuck
Two years ago, Jacqline was one of the hottest names in Melodifestivalen with her entry “Effortless.” She went straight to the final where she finished ninth overall.
"Of course I would love to go to the final, that would be absolutely wonderful. But there are so many good artists here, so I have no idea what my chances are," she says.
Jacqline is competing with the Beyoncé-inspired entry "Woman" and is tipped to come in third tonight, according to the bookmakers. However, she came last in the audience survey after the rehearsal and also suffered a temporary panic attack.
"A lot of hair got caught in my lip gloss and it threw me off balance. It's typical when you have a little too much fun," she says.
