Early in the morning, Israel launched an attack on a camp for displaced Palestinians west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.
The Palestinian Civil Defense said it had recovered the remains of three people, one of whom was a child. A hospital in Khan Yunis confirmed the report:
“Their bodies were torn apart by direct hits from shrapnel from the Israeli rocket.”
At least eleven people have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to the Palestinian Civil Defense. On Sunday, a university building in Gaza City was attacked, killing several people.
A formal ceasefire has been in place in the Gaza Strip for a year. Since it began, more than 1,500 people are reported to have been killed there.
