Late Thursday, local time in Sweden, the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel was extended after talks in Washington. Despite the agreement, Lebanese authorities say that at least six people were killed in attacks on Friday and four on Saturday.
The relationship between Israel and Lebanon has been marked by conflict for many years. The situation is complicated by the fact that the political wing of the Iranian-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah is represented in Lebanon's parliament and government.
In March, Hezbollah launched rocket attacks on Israel in retaliation for Israeli and US attacks on Iran.
