On Monday, an Israeli drone struck a car in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon. NNA reports that the car was travelling from Nabatieh al-Fawqa and that one of the victims worked as a school principal in the area.
The Israeli military, which occupies parts of southern Lebanon, said in a statement that "four suspects" approached Israeli forces and that the individuals were considered to pose a threat.
Israel has carried out attacks in southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire with the Iran-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah.
Israel and Lebanon entered into a first framework agreement on June 26 this year, which will ultimately pave the way for peace, a gradual Israeli withdrawal, and the disarmament of Hezbollah.
