"We can confirm a tragic incident at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program School in Makindye, Kampala, where a male suspect brutally stabbed and killed four minors," said police spokeswoman Racheal Kawaala.
The victims were between two and three years old, according to local media.
The suspect entered the preschool by pretending to be a parent, according to the Daily Monitor newspaper. After visiting the principal's office, he locked the facility and began attacking children.
The suspect has been arrested and the motive is being investigated.
