The attack in eastern Ukraine occurred on Thursday. Several businesses and cars were also damaged. Eight of the injured are children, according to authorities.
“It happened in broad daylight, while the streets were full of people,” Ukrainian Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi wrote on Telegram.
It is the second Russian attack targeting a shopping district in a short period of time. During the night of Thursday, at least two people were killed and many were injured when drones struck a shopping mall in Sumy in northeastern Ukraine.
Attacks have also been reported from at least four smaller communities in the Sumy region.
Several people were also killed in Russian attacks on Mykolaiv late Wednesday evening, according to Governor Heorhii Reshetilov.
